“ This year the Big WoW 2010 celebrates London 2012 and launches International Walk to School Month in October. Schools across London will be walking over three weeks in a mass relay event commencing October 1st. A baton will travel through each borough and schools are encouraged to take part in walking it through to the next stage. It’s one of the biggest walking relay events in London – and will travel anticlockwise from Havering, ending up at Greenwich! The official 1948 Olympic Torch will also feature at all stages of the relay, bringing a piece of history to young people throughout the capital. All ages are invited to take part and walk for London.
Walk to School 2010 :: Big WoW - as part of the School Council, Milly will be exchanging banners with pupils in Year 1 from Maple Infants’ tomorrow in Balaclava recreation ground - funny seeing the schools are next to each other.
